With You From Start To Finish
If you have comprehensive insurance, your policy may cover some or all of the cost of a windscreen replacement, subject to its terms and excess. In many cases, and with your insurer’s prior authorisation, we may be able to invoice the insurance company directly.
Some insurers prefer customers to use an approved supplier. However, if that supplier cannot provide an appointment within a reasonable timeframe, you can ask your insurer for permission to use Budget Windscreens instead. Alternatively, you may be able to pay for the replacement yourself and request reimbursement from your insurer.
Always obtain written authorisation from your insurer before arranging the work, as cover and reimbursement cannot be guaranteed without prior approval. If authorised, we will be happy to provide the documentation needed to support your claim.
But don’t panic, if you’re not insured or have a large excess we will give you the best price possible, call 0800 282 785 or Get A Quote.
Before making a windscreen insurance claim, it may be worth obtaining a quotation and comparing it with your policy excess. Although a windscreen claim may not affect your no-claims discount, it could influence your premium at renewal, depending on your insurer and policy. Always check the terms with your insurance provider before making a claim—we may be able to save you money.
